Surely ShoshannaTuesday, May 11,2010
While chatting with the owner of a local boutique, we recently learned some helpful information about designer Shoshanna -- her dresses are great for "the girls!" We were facinated, so we did some heavy investigative research -- we checked out her facebook page. Here is some of what we learned: "Designer Shoshanna Lonstein Gruss was born and raised on Manhattan's Upper East Side. After graduating from the University of California Los Angeles with degrees in History and Art History, Shoshanna began working at a lingerie factory to learn about design, fabric sourcing and construction in preparation for her career in the fashion industry. Below is an exclusive My Scoop interview with the designer. Is designing as fun as it seems it would be? Yes-it's a lot of fun, but at the same time tons of work. Where do you find inspiration for your colors and patterns? I find inspiration from really anywhere! Just walking down the street, the bright colors from candy in a candy store, traveling etc. If you could be anywhere in the world where would you be? On a beach in Greece with my family Where do you see your company in 5 years? Growing, slow and steady. Who is your favorite celeb to wear your designs? I love Taylor Swift, she brings a youthful spirit. I'm really always flattered when any celebrity wear's my designs when you know they have the whole world at their fingertips. As a child did you envision yourself doing something creative? No, I thought I was going to be a vet, or Fonizi. Like this article? Sign up here to get more of My Scoop!
