July in Mississippi is HOT.  So hot that I have to temporarily retire all pants, denim and layers of any sort.  It’s time to bring out the shorts, and who says that shorts have to be worn with flip-flops?

I love that dolphin shorts are such a trend this summer and for less than $20 you can snag a fun floral pair like this from Forever21.  Throw on some heels, a slinky top and some bangles and you have a perfect summer outfit that can stand the heat. 

To transfer this look to day – simply swap the heels for flats, add a cotton tank or white button front linen blend top, throw your hair in a topknot and go.
